These single-layer labels irreversibly show if prior opening or tampering occurred and feature unique serial numbers.
Labels with tamper-evident function indicate if a pharmaceutical packaging has been initially opened or not. This function complies with the European Falsified Medicine Directive (FMD). Seals can only be broken once. If the seals are intact, patients can assume that their medicines have not been tampered with. A similar effect is achieved with void labels.
It is recommended to combine different security features to achieve maximum safety.
