Paper labels can only show the current status of a container or storage location. Every change in status, therefore, requires manual relabeling. CCL Faubel will demonstrate how to replace this time-consuming process at its booth #2D07 in Hall 2 at LogiMAT 2024. "E-paper displays on our Smart Labels are variable. In other words, they can display up-to-date information in full at any time," explains Sven Rath, Business Development Manager at CCL Faubel. They are controlled by RFID tags, which explains why the volume of stored data can be times higher than on paper labels featuring one-dimensional or two-dimensional barcodes such as QR or DataMatrix codes.
Maximum flexibility
Smart Labels from CCL Faubel, such as the Faubel-Logistics Label, are batteryless, which has one particular advantage, according to Sven Rath: "Regular maintenance is not necessary: labels of this kind are extremely durable and very robust, too, thanks to their sturdy plastic housing. Adapting the housing and mounting for specific use is also possible. Smart Labels are usually screwed on or inserted. Display sizes can also vary. "Digital labeling offers warehouse management maximum flexibility,” Rath adds. "Our customers don't need to provide routers or additional IT infrastructure. They can read and change Smart Label data using stationary or mobile readers. The software is available at any time via a cloud app. Automated interfaces and direct printing functionalities can also be implemented.” Integration made simple LogiMAT has set up an "Exhibitor Insights" platform for exhibitors to give talks on various subjects. Sven Rath will present on "Future Digital Labeling: how to integrate batteryless e-paper displays easily" in Forum South, Hall 8, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 12:30.
