Mathias Männel joined the CCL Faubel Management Board in September. He is now responsible for Human Resources, Finance and Technology, which Martin Kuge had previously overseen. Martin Kuge is stepping back from the management team, leaving the company’s reins to Frank Jäger and Mathias Männel.
Martin Kuge has been with the company for almost 20 years, including 13 years as its Managing Director. "I can look back on very successful years. I wish the company, its employees, and the management all the best and continued success in the future," says Martin Kuge when handing it over to Mathias Männel. Frank Jäger, who has been in charge of Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Smart Labels since 2012, completes the CCL Faubel management team.
Extensive management experience
Mathias Männel completed a technical degree in mechanical engineering in Rosenheim. After working at Hexal Pharma in Holzkirchen, he returned to his hometown of Meerane and became Technical Director at Zweckform. His career turned global when the American-Canadian group CCL Industries Inc. acquired Zweckform in 2005 and appointed Mathias Männel as the Engineering Director for CCL Label worldwide.
Mathias Männel's leadership journey continued in 2008 when he became the Managing Director of the Dutch site in Oss, a part of the CCL Healthcare division. He later took charge of the CCL plants in Ashford, UK, and Lyon, France. In 2016, he was appointed Managing Director of CCL Label Marburg and CCL Label Dresden before becoming Vice President of CCL Healthcare Europe.
Mathias Männel has overseen the Solingen site since 2020 and the Stuttgart plant since last year. He can, therefore, bring a wealth of leadership experience to his new role at CCL Faubel. "I am delighted to be able to help shape the future development of CCL Faubel jointly with Frank Jäger as Managing Director. I approach this task with great respect for the company's successes so far. My thanks go to Martin Kuge for his support during the transition from a family-run business to a group," adds Mathias Männel.
