Application at Subzero Temperatures - New Deep-Freeze Labels

Christopher Scholz, Product Manager in Faubel's Product Development department

Thanks to their novel structure, deep-freeze labels can consistently mark containers even at ultralow temperatures.

Newly developed deep-freeze labels can be applied at temperatures as low as -85 °C.

Applying labels made of conventional materials to containers stored at frosty temperatures can be difficult. Layers of ice will form on the surfaces of the containers and cause adhesives to freeze. Faubel's product developers have designed the Faubel-Cryo Label specifically for such environments. "This cryogenic label is easy to apply even at temperatures as low as -85 °C," explains Christopher Scholz, Product Manager in Faubel's Product Development department.

What makes this solution so unique is - among other things - the two components that make it. The transfer label is optimized for gloved processing, which is common under cold room conditions.
